Sneak Peek
Learn to manage employees working remotely.
Understand how to remain efficient and productive whilst your workforce are working from home or remotely. With COVID-19, many businesses needed to pivot and change the way they operate or deliver their products and services and how employees work to achieve these goals. This course helps you understand all of the considerations for remote working employees and your business.
Before considering the scope of remote workplaces, it is prudent to ask what exactly is remote work? Sometimes referred to as telecommuting, remote work can refer to any work undertaken outside of a business or institution’s premises. This can include work undertaken by employees who need to work from home due to other factors (e.g. disability, injury, remote location). It can also include work undertaken away from the premises by employees who attend the premises for some or most of their working hours.

Learn to Better Manage Yourself and Others
There are many pros and cons of remote work for the individual and for the employer.
These should be considered carefully before making any decisions.
While remote work may offer benefits to both employer and employee/remote worker, it does present a obstacles and requires a different approach to organising and managing work.
One obstacle to successful remote work can be a perception of reduced productivity and lazy employees. Time management is another concern for many managers and employers. Yet, with the appropriate framework and a good employer-employee relationship, remote work can actually increase productivity and improve time management. Relationships can weaken and misconceptions may arise when personal contact decreases.
There are ways to counter most problems, but to do that requires an appreciation of all potential issues and possible solutions. Problems and solutions will naturally emerge over time; but taking the time to let this happen can be far more costly than taking this course and being able to act ahead of a problem arising.
